SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA — Authorities are investigating the tragic death of an individual at Westfield Parramatta shopping centre earlier today, after emergency services responded to a critical incident shortly before midday.
NSW Police confirmed that the death is being treated as a suspected suicide, though the identity of the individual has not yet been released. Efforts are currently underway to notify the next of kin.
NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived on the scene quickly, but despite their best efforts, the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
